Organization...a must for a small studio.

Or for any studio, I suppose.  I have lots to organize...paperwork, yarn, notions, etc, but decided to  start with my knitting needle drawer.  I have always kept  my needles in their original cases but I really wanted something that would help keep me organized.

A couple of pieces of scrap fabric and some time at the machine and I can now find the needle I am looking for quickly!

It's now easy to see what sizes I have...

...or what type/sizes I am missing.

And both fold up easily for storage!  I do need to buy some ribbon for ties.

This takes care of the double and single points...but now I need to tackle the circulars.  I have a few ideas but haven't resolved how I want to do this yet. I think I have about 30 needles.

Yeah...I know...I could buy these things...but it's much more fun for me to create them from scratch. And it solves another problem because I'm using up scrap fabric!

Happy 2013!
